Recognised achievement

Certificate Policy

This policy explains when a learner qualifies for a certificate, how certificate fees work and how every valid achievement can be verified.

Last updated: 29 August 2026

Course access and certificate access are separate

A free course does not automatically mean a free certificate. The certificate arrangement shown on the course page before enrolment is the arrangement that applies.

Eligibility

To qualify, a learner must complete the required learning activities, practical work and final assessment for the course, achieve its published pass mark, and comply with academic-integrity requirements. Course-specific requirements may also apply.

Free-course certificate arrangements

Each free course clearly states whether a certificate is included, available for an optional fee or subject to a limited complimentary offer. Where the first 100 successful learners receive a complimentary certificate, eligibility is determined by successful completion under the published offer terms; later eligible learners may obtain the certificate for the stated GH₵60 fee. Administrators may configure different terms for a course, and the course page will disclose them before enrolment.

Issuing and verification

Each valid digital certificate includes the learner name, course, completion date, assessment result and a unique certificate number. Its QR code links to a public verification record and learning transcript. Verification does not require an Academy sign-in.

Names and corrections

Your certificate uses the verified name held in your learner record. Check it before the certificate is issued. We may request evidence for a material name correction and may charge a disclosed administrative fee where reissue work is required.

Integrity, replacement and revocation

The Academy may withhold or revoke a certificate obtained through impersonation, plagiarism, assessment manipulation, false information or another serious breach. A corrected or replaced certificate may supersede an earlier version, and the verification record will reflect the valid status.

Samples and recognition

A sample certificate marked “SAMPLE — NOT VALID” is illustrative only. Academy certificates evidence completion of the named training programme; they do not by themselves guarantee employment, professional licensing, academic credit or recognition by every third party.
